What we do to keep ShagleChat safe
We are not going to claim a chat service with strangers is risk-free. It is not, and anyone who says it is should be treated with suspicion. What we can do is set clear rules, make the controls easy to reach, and act when people break the rules.
Rules: our community guidelines list what is not allowed, including harassment, threats, hate, sexual content on camera, scams and impersonation. Controls: Next, Block and Report are on the call screen. Enforcement: reports are reviewed, and accounts that break the rules are warned or removed.
Every call is also 1v1 video chat, so there is no room full of onlookers and nobody can join halfway through.

Report and block in two taps
If something is wrong, you do not need to argue or explain yourself first.
- 1
Leave
Tap Next. The call ends immediately. This is always the first move if you feel uncomfortable.
- 2
Block or report
Use Block to make sure that person cannot be matched with you again. Use Report if they broke a rule, and tell us briefly what happened so it can be reviewed.
Safety tips for video chat with strangers
Habits matter more than any setting. These are the ones worth building:
- Keep your identity out of the first minutes. Surname, address, school and workplace stay private until you have a good reason to share.
- Check your background. Mail, diplomas and street signs say a lot. Face a blank wall or blur it if you can.
- Do not send money or codes. Nobody you meet on a video chat needs your bank details, and anyone asking is a scam.
- Be careful about moving off the platform. Giving out a social handle makes you searchable. Wait until you trust someone.
- Treat pressure as a red flag. If someone pushes you to do something you did not choose, leave.
- Trust your gut. If a chat feels wrong and you cannot say why, it does not need a reason to end.

Help with common problems
Some problems are about safety, and some are just about things not working.
Someone broke the rules
Block and Report them from the call screen. If it was serious, also write to us with what happened.
My camera does not start
Allow camera access in your browser and close other apps that use it. How ShagleChat works covers the usual fixes.
A payment did not go as expected
See the refund policy, then write to us with the date and the email used.
How to contact us
Write to support[at]shaglechat.net (replace [at] with @). Say what happened, roughly when it happened, and anything that helps us find it. We read every message. For general questions, the contact page lists what to include so we can help faster.
