The rules

ShagleChat Community Guidelines

Short version: be decent to the person on the other side of the screen. Here is the longer one.

Hey, where are you from?

Be respectful

Treat the other person the way you would want a stranger to treat you. No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or slurs about race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality. If someone asks you to stop, stop, and use Next if you want to leave.

Keep it appropriate on camera

No nudity and no sexual content on camera. No violence, self-harm or dangerous acts. Keep clothes on and your behaviour suitable for a conversation with someone you just met.

Protect other people

Do not record, screenshot or share another person's video or messages without their permission. Do not ask for or share personal details such as addresses, workplaces, financial information or verification codes.

No scams, spam or impersonation

Do not advertise, sell, solicit money or send people to other sites. Do not pretend to be someone you are not in order to mislead. Do not use the service for anything illegal.

What happens when rules are broken

Reports are reviewed. Depending on what happened we may warn an account, limit it, or remove it permanently. Serious cases may be passed to the authorities where the law requires it.

See something that breaks these rules? Use Block and Report on the call screen. The safety page explains the steps, and the terms of service cover enforcement in full.
