What we believe about meeting strangers online
A good conversation with a stranger is one of the cheapest bits of joy there is, and it has got oddly hard to find. Most apps ask you to curate a profile, wait for matches, and then wonder whether anyone you matched with will ever write back.
We think there is room for something plainer: press a button, talk to a person, leave when you want to. The rest of the product is built around making that feel easy and keeping it comfortable.

How the service works
ShagleChat runs in a web browser on phones and laptops. Matching pairs you with one other person who is online at the same moment, and each call is strictly two people. You can try it with no sign-up and use 10 free matches a day; longer or premium sessions use coins, shown before you pay. How it works has the whole walk-through.
How we think about safety
Safety is not a banner on the homepage. It is the Next button on the call screen, Block and Report within reach, rules that are written down in the community guidelines, and reports that are reviewed. Our safety page is blunt about the limits: we can set rules and tools, and you still decide what to share.
How we write and what you can expect from us
Our guides on this site are written by people who use these services, and they say what we saw while using them. We do not publish made-up statistics, invented reviews or awards. If a page says "free to start", the price of anything beyond that is on the screen before you pay. If something on the site is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
